Getting started

How do I start using Turnip?

First, download Turnip from the Mac App Store. When you first open the app, Turnip will ask you a few questions to help you get started.

Here’s what you’ll need to get off to a roaring start:

1. Connect your accounts

You can connect your FreeAgent and FreshBooks account(s) to Turnip. Turnip will import your existing time slips and create tags from your account data. When you track time using those tags, your time will be synced back to your account(s).

2. Add some tags

Turnip uses tags to organise your time. You can set up your own tags to use Turnip on its own, or connect an integration to use your existing data as tags.

3. Start tracking your time!

Track time in Turnip by creating a new timer, tagging it, and you’re off to the races. When you’re finished, mark your time slips as done and they’ll by automatically synced with your accounts.
