Why is it called Turnip?
Fun fact: old-fashioned pocket watches—like the super huge kind that your great-great-grandad might have carried, or the kind Winston Churchill most definitely carried—were often referred to as “turnips”, probably because they were big and heavy and kind of awkward.
Matt is kind of a watch nerd, and Sarah most definitely is a plant nerd, so we decided to combine our forces for extra cuteness points. The alliteration (”Turnip Timer”) doesn’t hurt either.
